Gareth Hartley

As the Head of Lithium-Sulfur and Solid-State Batteries at Gelion, Gareth leads next-generation battery research and development. He coordinates international R&D collaborations with teams in Australia and the UK. Previously, he was Principal Scientist at OXLiD Ltd, guiding successful product development until its acquisition by Gelion in 2023. 

 Gareth also served as Business Intelligence Manager at the Faraday Institution, building networks and shaping commercialisation strategies. He holds a DPhil in Materials from the University of Oxford and a First-Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield.
