Dr. Mickey Crozier

Mickey Crozier is a Technology Manager at the MTC with a background in laser materials processing and automated production equipment. Current responsibilities include leading MTC battery research strategy and ownership of collaborative R&D within the Component Manufacturing Technology group. Previously Mickey was Director of Process Technology at equipment manufacturer M-Solv where he was responsible for R&D projects spanning energy generation and storage, microelectronics, displays and sensors using a range of advanced manufacturing technologies. He has been responsible for the successful delivery of many large privately and publicly funded R&D projects
Mickey has 15 years’ experience in laser applications development for a wide variety of industries including automotive, energy and medical. Previously he worked on the application of ultrafast time-resolved laser spectroscopies for the analysis of energy materials, jointly funded by STFC and Johnson Matthey and on development of production processes for the continuous improvement of various DPSS laser designs.
Mickey holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Sheffield, an MSc in Photon Science from the University of Manchester and an EngD from Heriot-Watt University.
