What Battery Technology does your company specialise in?
Ever wondered how your battery integrity is maintained? What causes battery failures and fire accidents in battery packs? Over the past five years, the electric vehicle (EV) industry has seen a 533% increase in recalls between 2018 and 2023. Battery-related issues, including fire risks, have accounted for 12% of these recalls, and EVs have proven to be 7 times more recall-prone than traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
ATEQ’s leak testing systems are used to ensure the integrity of battery cells, modules, and packs by detecting any potential leaks. By identifying such issues early, ATEQ plays a key role in eliminating these risks and enhancing the performance and safety of batteries, particularly in industries like electric vehicles (EVs), where battery reliability is crucial.
Are there any exciting developments happening within the industry or your company that you can share?
With the rise of battery packs in the automotive industry, many leak testing manufacturers are facing challenges in detecting leaks accurately and precisely due to the large size of components and variations in external pressure and temperature. Our newest technology, DNC (Differential Noise Cancelling), works similarly to the noise-cancelling technology in headphones, eliminating external disturbances from factory surroundings that can impact the accuracy of leak testing.
Additionally, ATEQ’s recent acquisition of VIC has significantly expanded our expertise in tracer gas solution testing. This acquisition enhances our ability to meet the growing industrial demand for detecting even the tiniest leaks through advanced helium and tracer gas leak localisation methods, further strengthening our position as a leader in precision leak detection.
This year, ATEQ is set to revolutionise product leak testing with a breakthrough solution that integrates cutting-edge advancements for enhanced performance. Expect innovations such as Machine Learning (ML) capabilities, which adapt to real-time data for continuous optimisation and smarter decision-making. This solution will reduce testing time while maintaining the highest level of accuracy, enabling the detection of even the smallest leaks.
Designed for both R&D environments and high-speed manufacturing lines, ATEQ’s new solution will offer intuitive user experience, complete with automation features for effortless operation. This breakthrough will not only enhance testing efficiency but also lay the foundation for the future of leak testing. Stay tuned for exciting updates – the future is just around the corner!
