Can you summarise your company’s battery technologies, products, or services in a short paragraph?
Cognition Energy offers battery cell testing as a service and cell holder system products. Our testing service is for anyone developing cells or packs that need test channels and expertise to quickly build a test plan, run cell tests, then collate and deliver data. The cell holder systems are for people testing cells in their own labs that require electrical contacting, cell compression or efficiency gains. We can deliver anything from bespoke low volume solutions to gigafactory scale racking systems to rapid, high quality testing.

Anyone who tests cells, either for cell development or pack development, can benefit from our solutions.
What trends or emerging developments in battery technology excite you the most right now?
Sophisticated test setups (e.g. liquid cooling cells to replicate real world conditions) to deliver more accurate results and accelerate development cycles.
What battery products, systems, manufacturing equipment, or innovations are you showcasing at Battery Cells & Systems Expo this year?
Cognition will be showing a variety of individual cell holders, as well as a full sized racking system integrated into a thermal chamber, to demonstrate both the products we sell and the testing we offer as a service for customers.
What types of partners, customers, or collaborators are you hoping to connect with during the show?
New people that haven’t come across us before, as well as old friends that we’ve worked with for years.
What is the one message you hope attendees remember after meeting your team?
When they need to test cells, no matter how large or small, Cognition is here to help with useful products and deep expertise.
What are you most looking forward to at Battery Cells & Systems Expo?
Meeting everyone from the UK battery industry and attending the conferences so that we can get a good handle on where the UK market is and where it is going.
