Dr David J. Field CEng FIMMM is a materials scientist, Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. He holds a degree in Metallurgy and a PhD in Materials Science from Imperial College London. David has held senior technical, commercial and business development roles across aluminium, automotive Tier 1 supply, rapid tooling and advanced materials commercialisation. He is co-founder and CEO of Rapid Powders Ltd, where he leads the development of engineered thermoplastic composite polymer powders containing functional fillers including graphene, other 2-D materials and a broad range of functional fillers. David also brings extensive experience in technology scale-up, collaborative R&D and Innovate UK/Horizon funding.
