Vehicle Electrification Expo

The co-location really works to bring companies together, whether it’s looking at graphene, carbon, etc. for batteries, - you can go between the two. And I think that transfer of knowledge is really critical

Prof. Jacqui Murrary, Director of South Wales, High Value Manufacturing Catapult

Participants and attendees at this expo are gaining so much from being here. Collaboration is key as we move forward with the next phase of our electrification transition as an industry, and having all of this expertise, all of this innovation, all of is this great technology under one roof is priceless

Ruth Nic Aiodh, Director of Vehicle Programmes, JLR

We’ve got to start looking at the depth of the supply chain, and bringing all of those technology sectors together in one event is a great opportunity for the technical people attending the show to have exposure to the companies that are active in those spaces.

Julian Hetherington, Automotive Transformation Director, The Advanced Propulsion Centre

Having the opportunity to come to this expo where we have a multitude of technologies and expertise all under one roof really allows that natural innovation and those connections to form that frankly would not happen if people were boxed into one technology exhibition, so all of the expertise under one roof is very beneficial for participations and for visitors to the expo

Ruth Nic Aiodh, Director of Vehicle Programmes, JLR

My key takeaway from being here today is having the opportunity to meet so many experts, to make connections, have conversations and really feel a drive of more and new innovations coming from this expo – I would recommend everybody to attend because it is very rare that you get an opportunity to have all of this expertise and technology under one roof.

Ruth Nic Aiodh, Director of Vehicle Programmes, JLR

We have had a fantastic time here, meeting lots and lots of interesting people from across the industry and academic spectrum. They are definitely engaging with us in developing new ideas.

Ben Walsh, Deputy Director, UKRI

I think that an event like this is a wonderful opportunity to bring people that are either in the industry, outside the industry, or adjacent to the industry to meet the collective specialists and technical experts and industrialists that an event like this will attract.

Isobel Sheldon, OBE, Global CEO, Western CAM

It’s an opportunity to get real hands-on experience, put the hands on the shoulders of the people that have been and trod this path before who have got the experience, that are going to be the people that are going to scale this industry moving forward.

Isobel Sheldon, OBE, Global CEO, Western CAM

What is happening here in bringing together the various show dynamics, is you’re extending that knowledge of various disciplines upon the people that come here – I think it’s a really good thing

Dr. Andy Palmer, Chair, Inobat

These four events are essential to impact the industry, mainly because they all link to each other, they are all important sectors – they are all the future of the industry, of the material science, it is good to have them in the same show.

Olivier Savard, Thermal Analysis Product Manager, Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science Ltd

Having these four events all together presents the opportunity of all different technical teams to see a little bit around or above the constraints – this is an opportunity for innovation itself, so I really appreciate this fusion of the expos together.

Marco de Luna, Lead Product Manager, Battery Value Chain, Stellantis

It’s a great opportunity for both attendees and exhibitors alike to come and network with people, with other companies – there’s a variety of companies here that are on the metrology and testing side, as well as those that are looking to supply materials. The supply chain has really got to build in the UK – it’s a great opportunity for that networking to occur.

Julian Hetherington, Automotive Transformation Director, The Advanced Propulsion Centre

People should come here and connect with the community that is growing all the time – this sector is going to have major growth, and the UK needs to carry on working, so that connection is important. That forming of partnerships and working collaboratively is important – this environment provides that networking opportunity, which is fantastic.

Naseer Ahmed, Commercial Director, UKBIC

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to COOs of brand new companies, people that are working in the funding side of businesses, engineers, and even young graduates looking for jobs – we’ve had a great opportunity to interact with all different parts of the industry, and that’s what we wanted, that’s why we are here.

Robert Dinsmore, Enterprise Software Sales Executive, Rockwell Automation

Co-locating the different show subjects is going to cross-pollinate quite substantially between the different industries. We’re all working in advanced materials; it’s just the end product that’s different. So I think bringing everyone together like that is definitely going to help with that networking and help to produce new technologies and innovation that may not have come about if we didn’t have that opportunity to meet each other

Adam Revill, Product Manager, Nu Instruments Ametek

I would come here if I was interested in developing or looking to use new innovative technologies in the battery space or in the advanced materials space. You can also come here to meet interesting people and see some really great talks and interesting ideas that have come out over the past two days.

Ben Walsh, Deputy Director, UKRI

The co-location of the various aspects of the show, I think they are synergistic because for example, the electrification and the batteries – they will encounter materials challenges. What better than to have the materials industry next door to them, having those conversations and working together in harmony?

Richard Goodhead, Chief Marketing Officer, Lucideon
