Exhibitor Spotlight – Consilium

What do you specialise in?

Consilium are an Engineering and Technical Recruitment Consultancy set up and run by engineers. Within the business I run the Innovation Division which is a team dedicated to new and high technology companies with a particular focus on EV and Battery Tech.

What are the benefits of your technologies?

Consilium quite simply offers a tailored and more technical recruitment service to this sector. Our team are well connected and network constantly. We take on technical training within our teams so that we can understand your technology and products in some detail.

Without this technical understanding we think it’s impossible to make the necessary matches of vacancies and candidates – which is probably the greatest criticism of the high street recruitment agencies with whom we compete.

What will you be showcasing at Battery Cells & Systems Expo?

Consilium is the recruitment partner to UKBIC where we have successfully placed over 60 staff in 2019 and this is continuing in 2020. We also have other exclusive arrangements with rapidly growing high tech clients like Sprint Power. We are the UK’s leading EV and battery tech recruiter.

What can visitors expect from your stand?

Whether you are looking for staff or you are looking for an exciting new career in EV and Batteries then you need to be talking to us.

What excites you most about the advanced battery industry? What will you be looking out for yourselves at Battery Cells & Systems Expo 2020?

The Faraday Battery Challenge is predicting the imminent arrival several gigafctories in the UK – this creates incredible opportunities for individuals’ careers, for the supply chain and british manufacturing in general. It’s not just automotive, I see a time in the not too distant future when new houses will be built with an integrated battery system – opportunities will arise in many sectors outside of EV too.

If visitors should know one thing about your company and experience, what would it be?

We’re the UK’s leading Battery and EV Recruiter with technical understanding at the core of our business model.

What has been your organisation’s biggest achievement in 2019/20?

Partnering UKBIC and building that team from 2 people to 70 people and watching a £128M pound facility go from the drawing board to reality in under 2 years. An incredible achievement by any measure.
