Since opening last year, the Coventry-based UK Battery Industrialisation Centre has grown to more than 120 people.
The organisation provides UK battery manufacturing scale-up and skills for the battery sector.
UKBIC’s HR director Damian Pearce said: “Our partnership with EVera Recruitment, complemented by our own specialist in-house recruitment work, has seen us recruit from sectors with different transferrable skills.
“These include automotive, pharmaceutical manufacturing, FMCG, reel-to-reel manufacturing, printing and high-speed automation. This approach has been essential in order for us to keep up with customer demand.”
Steve Doyle, EVera Founder and chief executive, added:
“I’m so proud that my team and I have been able to play a pivotal role in boosting the UK’s flourishing battery sector. We have worked in partnership with UKBIC to identify the skills and expertise needed to support the growth of the centre and the industrialisation of the next generation of batteries for a range of applications, including electric vehicles and energy storage systems.”
